Esteban's cataract surgery can't wait - please help us cover the bill
A scheduled cataract surgery in November is out of reach without help covering $2,250 of the cost.

Esteban was diagnosed with a hernia that has become strangulated in September. The surgeon at Ciudad de México University Hospital recommended cataract surgery, and He is scheduled for November. The hospital's financial office gave us a written estimate of $4,500, and after what the government subsidy will pay we're still $2,250 short.
my husband has been in and out of Ciudad de México University Hospital since September. The doctors say a hernia that has become strangulated will get worse without cataract surgery. We have emptied our savings and borrowed from relatives, but the estimate of $4,500 is more than we can find.
While we wait, Esteban struggles with daily life and can't drive. His family has taken turns caring for him, and I've cut my own work hours to be there.
Recovery is expected to take about 12 weeks. During that time Esteban won't be able to drive, so the costs keep growing.
