Esi needs my pickup repaired to get back to work in Accra

Without my pickup Esi can't work; a $100 repair would put her back on the road.

I make my living with my pickup. 6 weeks ago the rear axle failed, and the mechanic says the repair will cost $100. Without the vehicle I earn nothing. I have been borrowing from friends to pay rent, and now I have run out of people to ask. I support my two daughters and my mother. Before the breakdown I worked eleven hours a day, six days a week. I have been offered extra shifts for the next six months if I can just get the vehicle working. I have a written estimate from a certified mechanic and will upload it here. I'll pay the mechanic directly and show you the repaired vehicle in an update. Where the $100 goes: • Towing and inspection: $25 • Labor charges: $50 • Road tax and insurance renewal: $25 If you're reading this, thank you.

Updates from Esi

  1. Wanted to say thank you properly. 40% funded and I made the first payment toward towing and inspection.

  2. Update from Accra: the plan for labor charges is now scheduled. We're at 40% of the goal. Thank you for believing in us. - Esi

  • wishing you the best. Hope the shop reopens soon. After 23 years in hospitality I know how hard it's to ask for anything.
