I live with an amputation below the knee. My occupational therapist at the Madina Mobility Clinic has assessed me and recommended a cochlear implant processor upgrade. The public scheme doesn't cover it, and the quote from the supplier is $1,150. My current equipment is 12 years old and keeps breaking, which has confined me to home for 3 weeks. With the right equipment I could go to school independently. It would change my everyday life and my ability to work from home. We've applied to two charities already and received small contributions; this campaign covers the rest. I'll pay the supplier directly from the funds, and I'll post a photo once the equipment is delivered. Where the $1,150 goes: • cochlear implant processor upgrade: $1,100 • First-year servicing plan: $45 • Delivery and set-up: $5 Ask me anything below before you decide. I'd rather you were sure. - Esi

Updates from Esi

  1. Good news. Because of your gifts ($83 in total) the plan for first-year servicing plan is now scheduled. Still a way to go but it feels less lonely. - Esi

  2. Good news. Because of your gifts ($55 in total) we've booked the dates and paid the deposit. Still a way to go but it feels less lonely. - Esi

  3. Wanted to say thank you properly. 0% funded and I made the first payment toward cochlear implant processor upgrade.
