Erosion collapse in Zaria: help Harbor village rebuild
After the erosion collapse, families in Harbor village need clean water, roofing materials and bedding.
🇳🇬 Nigeria1,019 views
The erosion collapse hit Harbor village on 27 February. My home was one of 21 damaged, and 2 families are still in temporary shelter at the community hall.
The first few days we shared what little we had. Now the cleanup has started, but we've no money for materials and winter or the rainy season is coming.
Schools in the area have been closed, and the clinic lost its cold storage for vaccines. We're a small community of working families who have never asked for help before.
We have formed a volunteer committee, and I'm the treasurer, so I'll post receipts for everything we buy.
Funds go to building materials, water purification supplies, bedding, and food for families still in shelters.
Where the $1,000 goes:
• Roofing sheets and timber: $340
• Clean water and purification supplies: $185
• Bedding, blankets and mattresses: $155
• Food parcels for displaced families: $180
• Tools and labor for repairs: $140
I'll pay this kindness forward the moment I'm able to.

Sending good thoughts. Looking forward to the next update. Thinking of Zaria!
Hope things get better soon, Favour. It takes guts to ask. Well done. We lost years of savings to something like this so I get it. Take care.
