Eoin needs my delivery van repaired to get back to work in Galway
Eoin's my delivery van is Eoin's only source of income and needs a gearbox replacement costing $1,700.
🇮🇪 Galway, Connacht, Ireland2,928 views
I make my living with my delivery van. 4 weeks ago the gearbox failed, and the mechanic says the repair will cost $1,700. Without the vehicle I earn nothing.
I have been borrowing from friends to pay rent, and now I have run out of people to ask.
I support my two daughters and my mother. Before the breakdown I worked twelve hours a day, six days a week. I have been offered extra shifts for the next six months if I can just get the vehicle working.
I have a written estimate from a certified mechanic and will upload it here.
I'll pay the mechanic directly and show you the repaired vehicle in an update.
Where the $1,700 goes:
• gearbox replacement (parts): $1,050
• Labor charges: $280
• Road tax and insurance renewal: $300
• Towing and inspection: $70

thinking of you. Your post was clear and honest. I went through something like this 12 years ago and strangers helped me out
Sending good thoughts. Everyone deserves a bit of help sometimes. My neighbor in Worcester donated after I showed her your page.
can I help in a way that isn't money? I'm near Galway.
Thank you. If you're in Galway I'll say if something practical comes up. For now sharing this is great. Good question.
Keep going, Eoin. I hope things turn around soon. My late mom used to say help given quietly counts double. Love from Fresno!
Hope things get better soon, Eoin. Shared it with a few friends. Wish I lived closer to Birmingham so I could bring a meal. God bless.
how is Eoin doing now?
keep going, Eoin. Gave what I could, wish it was more. Our whole street has been following this since the weekend.
Best of luck. I'd happily buy from you once you're back up. Greetings from Munich
