Emilio needs a powered wheelchair - help us make it happen
Help Emilio get a powered wheelchair so He can join the school sports day.
🇺🇸 United States1,380 views
I live with multiple sclerosis. My occupational therapist at the Los Angeles Rehabilitation Centre has assessed me and recommended a powered wheelchair. The public scheme doesn't cover it, and the quote from the supplier is $4,650.
My current equipment is 15 years old and keeps breaking, which has confined me to home for 6 weeks.
With the right equipment I could join the school sports day. It would change my everyday life and my ability to work from home.
We've applied to two charities already and received small contributions; this campaign covers the rest.
Funds go toward the equipment, delivery, fitting and a year of servicing.
Where the $4,650 goes:
• powered wheelchair: $3,750
• Fitting and training sessions: $360
• Delivery and set-up: $135
• First-year servicing plan: $405
With deep gratitude,
Emilio
