Emil's final semester of a nursing degree in Düsseldorf
Emil is two terms away from finishing a nursing degree but is blocked from enrolling by an unpaid balance of $2,900.
🇩🇪 Düsseldorf, North Rhine-Westphalia, Germany1,220 views
Emil is the first person in the family to go to university. He is studying a nursing degree at Düsseldorf Polytechnic, and is two terms away from graduating. He has worked as a night-shift cleaner to pay the way, but this term the hours were cut and there's an unpaid balance of $2,900.
The registrar has said Emil can't enroll for the next term until the balance is cleared. Emil has a top-ten-percent average, and an academic advisor has written in support.
Graduating means a stable job and the chance to support the younger siblings. Without enrolling this term Emil would lose his place and scholarship eligibility.
Emil isn't asking for a handout - He wants to finish what He started and help the next student.
The payment will go directly to the Düsseldorf Polytechnic bursar's office. I'll post the receipt.
Where the $2,900 goes:
• Textbooks and materials: $155
• Final term tuition: $880
• Outstanding tuition balance: $1,865
Every share and every dollar helps.

can I help in a way that isn't money? I'm near Düsseldorf.
Thank you. If you're in Düsseldorf I'll say if something practical comes up. For now sharing this is great. Good question.
Wishing you peace, Christian. As a teacher I love seeing someone work this hard to learn. Love from Montréal.
How is Emil doing now?
This could happen to any of us. After 7 years in hospitality I know how hard it's to ask for anything. All the best.
Sending good thoughts, Christian. Everyone deserves a bit of help sometimes. Thinking of Düsseldorf
