Emergency vet bill for Ziggy in Brasília
A three-legged dog named Ziggy needs emergency surgery - a $400 bill the family can't cover.

Ziggy is my three-legged dog of eleven years. On 11 July we rushed to Brasília Veterinary Centre with a foreign object blocking the intestines. The vet recommends emergency surgery, and the estimate came to $400.
They have stabilized Ziggy, but the treatment can't wait beyond September.
Ziggy is more than a pet - Ziggy is the reason I get out of bed. I have already put $90 toward the bills and asked for a payment plan.
Whatever I can't raise, I'll repay to anyone who needs it back.
If more is raised than needed, the surplus goes to Brasília Veterinary Centre's charity fund for other animals.
Where the $400 goes:
• Hospitalization (2 nights): $75
• Medication and follow-up visits: $45
• Emergency surgery: $280
