Emergency vet bill for Willow in Houston

A cat named Willow needs orthopedic surgery - a $2,900 bill the family cannot cover.

Willow is my cat of three years. On 14 September we rushed to Houston Veterinary Centre with a ruptured cruciate ligament. The vet recommends orthopedic surgery, and the estimate came to $2,900. They have stabilized Willow, but the treatment can't wait beyond November. Willow is more than a pet - Willow walks my kids to the bus stop every morning. I have already put $185 toward the bills and asked for a payment plan. Whatever I can't raise, I'll repay to anyone who needs it back. Funds will be paid straight to Houston Veterinary Centre and I'll share the invoice and an update on Willow's recovery. Where the $2,900 goes: • Emergency surgery: $2,050 • Hospitalization (4 nights): $400 • Medication and follow-up visits: $260 • Diagnostics (X-ray, bloodwork): $190 You're what makes this possible, and I'll never forget it. - Luis

Hope things get better soon. Reading this made my day a bit heavier but I'm glad I did. I'm in customer support myself and wanted you to know we're cheering for you. All the best

Thinking of you. Reading this made my day a bit heavier but I'm glad I did. My late mom used to say help given quietly counts double. Thinking of Houston.

You're not alone, Luis. It takes guts to ask. Well done. God bless
