Auckland

Teddy is my three-legged dog of thirteen years. On 28 February we rushed to Auckland Animal Hospital with a broken leg after a road accident. The vet recommends a hospital stay and surgery, and the estimate came to $2,000. They have stabilized Teddy, but the treatment can't wait beyond May. Teddy is more than a pet - Teddy is a retired therapy animal who has comforted dozens of patients. I have already put $310 toward the bills and asked for a payment plan. Whatever I can't raise, I'll repay to anyone who needs it back. Funds will be paid straight to Auckland Animal Hospital and I'll share the invoice and an update on Teddy's recovery. Where the $2,000 goes: • Emergency surgery: $1,150 • Hospitalization (2 nights): $500 • Medication and follow-up visits: $180 • Diagnostics (X-ray, bloodwork): $170 I never thought I'd be the one asking, and I'm grateful for every bit of support. - Grace
