Emergency vet bill for Sunny in Sheffield
Sunny, Iwona's dog, needs urgent treatment for kidney failure costing $1,800.

Sunny is my dog of thirteen years. On 13 May we rushed to the Sheffield Emergency Vet Clinic with kidney failure. The vet recommends a hospital stay and surgery, and the estimate came to $1,800.
They have stabilized Sunny, but the treatment can't wait beyond July.
Sunny is more than a pet - Sunny is a retired therapy animal who has comforted dozens of patients. I have already put $270 toward the bills and asked for a payment plan.
Whatever I can't raise, I'll repay to anyone who needs it back.
If more is raised than needed, the surplus goes to the Sheffield Emergency Vet Clinic's charity fund for other animals.
Where the $1,800 goes:
• Emergency surgery: $1,500
• Medication and follow-up visits: $125
• Diagnostics (X-ray, bloodwork): $175

Is there a list of costs somewhere? Just curious how it adds up for Iwona.
Sure. The biggest one is emergency surgery, $1,500. The rest is in the list at the bottom of the post and I'll upload receipts as I pay each one. Fair thing to want to know.
