Emergency vet bill for Simba in San Jose
A senior cat named Simba needs a hospital stay and surgery - a $1,400 bill the family can't cover.

Simba is my senior cat of two years. On 7 September we rushed to the San Jose Emergency Vet Clinic with bloat. The vet recommends a hospital stay and surgery, and the estimate came to $1,400.
They have stabilized Simba, but the treatment can't wait beyond December.
Simba is more than a pet - Simba is a retired therapy animal who has comforted dozens of patients. I have already put $280 toward the bills and asked for a payment plan.
Whatever I can't raise, I'll repay to anyone who needs it back.
Funds will be paid straight to the San Jose Emergency Vet Clinic and I'll share the invoice and an update on Simba's recovery.
Where the $1,400 goes:
• Emergency surgery: $800
• Hospitalization (2 nights): $290
• Diagnostics (X-ray, bloodwork): $310
