Emergency vet bill for Simba in Coventry
A tabby kitten named Simba needs a hospital stay and surgery - a $2,300 bill the family can't cover.

Simba is my tabby kitten of eleven years. On 18 December we rushed to Coventry Animal Hospital with bloat. The vet recommends a hospital stay and surgery, and the estimate came to $2,300.
They have stabilized Simba, but the treatment can't wait beyond March.
Simba is more than a pet - Simba is a retired therapy animal who has comforted dozens of patients. I have already put $175 toward the bills and asked for a payment plan.
Whatever I can't raise, I'll repay to anyone who needs it back.
Funds will be paid straight to Coventry Animal Hospital and I'll share the invoice and an update on Simba's recovery.
Where the $2,300 goes:
• Emergency surgery: $1,550
• Hospitalization (3 nights): $340
• Medication and follow-up visits: $240
• Diagnostics (X-ray, bloodwork): $170
