Emergency vet bill for Rocky in Niterói
Rocky, Manoel's cat, needs urgent treatment for bloat costing $600.

Rocky is my cat of nine years. On 22 June we rushed to Niterói Veterinary Centre with bloat. The vet recommends an operation to remove the blockage, and the estimate came to $600.
They have stabilized Rocky, but the treatment can't wait beyond September.
Rocky is more than a pet - Rocky got me through my hardest year. I have already put $50 toward the bills and asked for a payment plan.
Whatever I can't raise, I'll repay to anyone who needs it back.
If more is raised than needed, the surplus goes to Niterói Veterinary Centre's charity fund for other animals.
Where the $600 goes:
• Emergency surgery: $300
• Hospitalization (2 nights): $170
• Medication and follow-up visits: $50
• Diagnostics (X-ray, bloodwork): $80
