Emergency vet bill for Rocky in Ballarat
Rocky, Priya's three-legged dog, needs urgent treatment for severe tick fever costing $1,100.

Rocky is my three-legged dog of nine years. On 1 July we rushed to the Ballarat Emergency Vet Clinic with severe tick fever. The vet recommends emergency surgery, and the estimate came to $1,100.
They have stabilized Rocky, but the treatment can't wait beyond August.
Rocky is more than a pet - Rocky is a retired therapy animal who has comforted dozens of patients. I have already put $280 toward the bills and asked for a payment plan.
Whatever I can't raise, I'll repay to anyone who needs it back.
Funds will be paid straight to the Ballarat Emergency Vet Clinic and I'll share the invoice and an update on Rocky's recovery.
Where the $1,100 goes:
• Medication and follow-up visits: $250
• Hospitalization (4 nights): $580
• Diagnostics (X-ray, bloodwork): $270
