Emergency vet bill for Poppy in Lagos
Poppy, Folake's rescue greyhound, needs urgent treatment for kidney failure costing $300.

Poppy is my rescue greyhound of two years. On 13 July we rushed to the Lagos Emergency Vet Clinic with kidney failure. The vet recommends a hospital stay and surgery, and the estimate came to $300.
They have stabilized Poppy, but the treatment can't wait beyond October.
Poppy is more than a pet - Poppy walks my kids to the bus stop every morning. I have already put $55 toward the bills and asked for a payment plan.
Whatever I can't raise, I'll repay to anyone who needs it back.
If more is raised than needed, the surplus goes to the Lagos Emergency Vet Clinic's charity fund for other animals.
Where the $300 goes:
• Emergency surgery: $190
• Hospitalization (4 nights): $35
• Medication and follow-up visits: $35
• Diagnostics (X-ray, bloodwork): $40
