Emergency vet bill for Pixel in Recife
Pixel, Luciana's dog, needs urgent treatment for a broken leg after a road accident costing $1,050.

Pixel is my dog of nine years. On 16 May we rushed to Recife Veterinary Centre with a broken leg after a road accident. The vet recommends orthopedic surgery, and the estimate came to $1,050.
They have stabilized Pixel, but the treatment can't wait beyond August.
Pixel is more than a pet - Pixel is the reason I get out of bed. I have already put $45 toward the bills and asked for a payment plan.
Whatever I can't raise, I'll repay to anyone who needs it back.
Funds will be paid straight to Recife Veterinary Centre and I'll share the invoice and an update on Pixel's recovery.
Where the $1,050 goes:
• Emergency surgery: $590
• Hospitalization (4 nights): $260
• Medication and follow-up visits: $80
• Diagnostics (X-ray, bloodwork): $120
Thank you for reading my story.
