Emergency vet bill for Pixel in Bronx
Pixel, Hadley's rabbit, needs urgent treatment for kidney failure costing $3,050.

Pixel is my rabbit of two years. On 28 August we rushed to the Bronx Emergency Vet Clinic with kidney failure. The vet recommends a hospital stay and surgery, and the estimate came to $3,050.
They have stabilized Pixel, but the treatment can't wait beyond December.
Pixel is more than a pet - Pixel is a retired therapy animal who has comforted dozens of patients. I have already put $140 toward the bills and asked for a payment plan.
Whatever I can't raise, I'll repay to anyone who needs it back.
Funds will be paid straight to the Bronx Emergency Vet Clinic and I'll share the invoice and an update on Pixel's recovery.
Where the $3,050 goes:
• Emergency surgery: $2,100
• Hospitalization (3 nights): $480
• Medication and follow-up visits: $230
• Diagnostics (X-ray, bloodwork): $240
