Emergency vet bill for Pepper in Padua

A dog named Pepper needs a hospital stay and surgery - a $1,650 bill the family can't cover.

Pepper is my dog of eleven years. On 26 August we rushed to Padua Animal Hospital with severe tick fever. The vet recommends a hospital stay and surgery, and the estimate came to $1,650. They have stabilized Pepper, but the treatment can't wait beyond November. Pepper is more than a pet - Pepper is a retired therapy animal who has comforted dozens of patients. I have already put $150 toward the bills and asked for a payment plan. Whatever I can't raise, I'll repay to anyone who needs it back. Funds will be paid straight to Padua Animal Hospital and I'll share the invoice and an update on Pepper's recovery. Where the $1,650 goes: • Emergency surgery: $1,050 • Hospitalization (3 nights): $340 • Medication and follow-up visits: $130 • Diagnostics (X-ray, bloodwork): $130 I hope life is good to you. - Michele

  1. Good news. Because of your gifts ($383 in total) the first invoice got paid this week. Still a way to go but it feels less lonely.
