Emergency vet bill for Pepper in Mississauga
Pepper, Osama's rescue greyhound, needs urgent treatment for severe tick fever costing $2,650.

Pepper is my rescue greyhound of eleven years. On 29 August we rushed to the Mississauga Emergency Vet Clinic with severe tick fever. The vet recommends a hospital stay and surgery, and the estimate came to $2,650.
They have stabilized Pepper, but the treatment can't wait beyond November.
Pepper is more than a pet - Pepper walks my kids to the bus stop every morning. I have already put $340 toward the bills and asked for a payment plan.
Whatever I can't raise, I'll repay to anyone who needs it back.
If more is raised than needed, the surplus goes to the Mississauga Emergency Vet Clinic's charity fund for other animals.
Where the $2,650 goes:
• Emergency surgery: $1,850
• Hospitalization (2 nights): $340
• Medication and follow-up visits: $105
• Diagnostics (X-ray, bloodwork): $355
