Nala is my tabby kitten of six years. On 1 May we rushed to Bakersfield Animal Hospital with kidney failure. The vet recommends emergency surgery, and the estimate came to $2,650. They have stabilized Nala, but the treatment can't wait beyond June. Nala is more than a pet - Nala is a retired therapy animal who has comforted dozens of patients. I have already put $290 toward the bills and asked for a payment plan. Whatever I can't raise, I'll repay to anyone who needs it back. If more is raised than needed, the surplus goes to Bakersfield Animal Hospital's charity fund for other animals. Where the $2,650 goes: • Emergency surgery: $1,450 • Hospitalization (4 nights): $850 • Medication and follow-up visits: $115 • Diagnostics (X-ray, bloodwork): $235 Every share and every dollar helps.
