Emergency vet bill for Mocha in Kampala
A dog named Mocha needs emergency surgery - a $250 bill the family cannot cover.

Mocha is my dog of nine years. On 23 August we rushed to Kampala Veterinary Centre with kidney failure. The vet recommends emergency surgery, and the estimate came to $250.
They have stabilized Mocha, but the treatment can't wait beyond December.
Mocha is more than a pet - Mocha got me through my hardest year. I have already put $20 toward the bills and asked for a payment plan.
Whatever I can't raise, I'll repay to anyone who needs it back.
If more is raised than needed, the surplus goes to Kampala Veterinary Centre's charity fund for other animals.
Where the $250 goes:
• Emergency surgery: $90
• Hospitalization (2 nights): $100
• Medication and follow-up visits: $25
• Diagnostics (X-ray, bloodwork): $35
Every share and every dollar helps.

Is there a list of costs somewhere? Just curious how it adds up for Achieng!
The list at the bottom is the whole picture. emergency surgery is the biggest at $90. Fair thing to want to know.
So sorry you're going through this. Hope the recovery goes smoothly. My husband and I read this together.
