Mocha is my tabby kitten of three years. On 13 November we rushed to Grand Rapids Animal Hospital with a foreign object blocking the intestines. The vet recommends an operation to remove the blockage, and the estimate came to $1,950.
They have stabilized Mocha, but the treatment can't wait beyond February.
Mocha is more than a pet - Mocha is a retired therapy animal who has comforted dozens of patients. I have already put $280 toward the bills and asked for a payment plan.
Whatever I can't raise, I'll repay to anyone who needs it back.
If more is raised than needed, the surplus goes to Grand Rapids Animal Hospital's charity fund for other animals.
Where the $1,950 goes:
• Emergency surgery: $1,300
• Medication and follow-up visits: $290
• Hospitalization (4 nights): $360
I'll pay this kindness forward the moment I'm able to.

Rooting for you, Valentina. We've got a rescue too so I know how much they mean. The breakdown of costs made it easy to trust.
