Emergency vet bill for Mocha in Boston
A three-legged dog named Mocha needs orthopedic surgery - a $1,100 bill the family can't cover.

Mocha is my three-legged dog of three years. On 6 September we rushed to the Boston Emergency Vet Clinic with pyometra. The vet recommends orthopedic surgery, and the estimate came to $1,100.
They have stabilized Mocha, but the treatment can't wait beyond November.
Mocha is more than a pet - Mocha is a retired therapy animal who has comforted dozens of patients. I have already put $300 toward the bills and asked for a payment plan.
Whatever I can't raise, I'll repay to anyone who needs it back.
Funds will be paid straight to the Boston Emergency Vet Clinic and I'll share the invoice and an update on Mocha's recovery.
Where the $1,100 goes:
• Hospitalization (3 nights): $600
• Diagnostics (X-ray, bloodwork): $220
• Medication and follow-up visits: $280

Sure. The biggest one is hospitalization (3 nights), $600. The rest is in the list at the bottom of the post and I'll upload receipts as I pay each one. Happy to explain more.
