Emergency vet bill for Milo in Brisbane
A tabby kitten named Milo needs orthopedic surgery - a $2,000 bill the family cannot cover.
🇦🇺 Brisbane, Queensland, Australia380 views
Milo is my tabby kitten of six years. On 15 June we rushed to Brisbane Veterinary Centre with severe tick fever. The vet recommends orthopedic surgery, and the estimate came to $2,000.
They have stabilized Milo, but the treatment can't wait beyond August.
Milo is more than a pet - Milo is a retired therapy animal who has comforted dozens of patients. I have already put $370 toward the bills and asked for a payment plan.
Whatever I can't raise, I'll repay to anyone who needs it back.
Funds will be paid straight to Brisbane Veterinary Centre and I'll share the invoice and an update on Milo's recovery.
Where the $2,000 goes:
• Emergency surgery: $1,250
• Hospitalization (3 nights): $340
• Medication and follow-up visits: $185
• Diagnostics (X-ray, bloodwork): $225
Even a small gift gets used right away and I'll thank you myself.

Wishing you the best, Tiffany. Hope this works out for you.
Poor Milo, hope they feel better soon. My father had a similar thing happen so this one hit home. Greetings from Zagazig.
Hang in there. It takes guts to ask. Well done. Don't be hard on yourself for asking.
