Emergency vet bill for Max in Kingston
Max, Shantel's cat, needs urgent treatment for a foreign object blocking the intestines costing $700.

Max is my cat of six years. On 17 May we rushed to Kingston Animal Hospital with a foreign object blocking the intestines. The vet recommends emergency surgery, and the estimate came to $700.
They have stabilized Max, but the treatment can't wait beyond August.
Max is more than a pet - Max is the reason I get out of bed. I have already put $100 toward the bills and asked for a payment plan.
Whatever I can't raise, I'll repay to anyone who needs it back.
Funds will be paid straight to Kingston Animal Hospital and I'll share the invoice and an update on Max's recovery.
Where the $700 goes:
• Emergency surgery: $450
• Hospitalization (3 nights): $160
• Medication and follow-up visits: $40
• Diagnostics (X-ray, bloodwork): $50

Everything on the list is an amount I've been quoted or invoiced. emergency surgery comes first ($450) and I'll update the page as each thing gets paid. Fair thing to want to know.
