Maple is my rescue greyhound of six years. On 14 June we rushed to Los Angeles Veterinary Centre with bloat. The vet recommends a hospital stay and surgery, and the estimate came to $1,950. They have stabilized Maple, but the treatment can't wait beyond August. Maple is more than a pet - Maple is a retired therapy animal who has comforted dozens of patients. I have already put $220 toward the bills and asked for a payment plan. Whatever I can't raise, I'll repay to anyone who needs it back. If more is raised than needed, the surplus goes to Los Angeles Veterinary Centre's charity fund for other animals.
