Emergency vet bill for Maple in Birmingham
A cat named Maple needs an operation to remove the blockage - a $2,050 bill the family can't cover.

Maple is my cat of thirteen years. On 16 December we rushed to Birmingham Veterinary Centre with a ruptured cruciate ligament. The vet recommends an operation to remove the blockage, and the estimate came to $2,050.
They have stabilized Maple, but the treatment can't wait beyond March.
Maple is more than a pet - Maple got me through my hardest year. I have already put $165 toward the bills and asked for a payment plan.
Whatever I can't raise, I'll repay to anyone who needs it back.
If more is raised than needed, the surplus goes to Birmingham Veterinary Centre's charity fund for other animals.
Where the $2,050 goes:
• Emergency surgery: $1,150
• Hospitalization (2 nights): $490
• Medication and follow-up visits: $240
• Diagnostics (X-ray, bloodwork): $170
