Emergency vet bill for Mango in Paarl
A three-legged dog named Mango needs a hospital stay and surgery - a $700 bill the family can't cover.

Mango is my three-legged dog of nine years. On 20 September we rushed to Paarl Animal Hospital with severe tick fever. The vet recommends a hospital stay and surgery, and the estimate came to $700.
They have stabilized Mango, but the treatment can't wait beyond December.
Mango is more than a pet - Mango is the reason I get out of bed. I have already put $70 toward the bills and asked for a payment plan.
Whatever I can't raise, I'll repay to anyone who needs it back.
Funds will be paid straight to Paarl Animal Hospital and I'll share the invoice and an update on Mango's recovery.
Where the $700 goes:
• Emergency surgery: $460
• Hospitalization (2 nights): $130
• Medication and follow-up visits: $65
• Diagnostics (X-ray, bloodwork): $45
You're what makes this possible, and I'll never forget it.

Wishing you the best, Refilwe. I've been in a tough spot myself and it does get easier. Read this on the bus and kept thinking about it all day. Take care
