Emergency vet bill for Mango in Mérida
A German shepherd named Mango needs a hospital stay and surgery - a $650 bill the family cannot cover.
🇲🇽 Mérida, Yucatán, Mexico985 views
Mango is my German shepherd of nine years. On 20 September we rushed to the Mérida Emergency Vet Clinic with pyometra. The vet recommends a hospital stay and surgery, and the estimate came to $650.
They have stabilized Mango, but the treatment can't wait beyond December.
Mango is more than a pet - Mango is a retired therapy animal who has comforted dozens of patients. I have already put $85 toward the bills and asked for a payment plan.
Whatever I can't raise, I'll repay to anyone who needs it back.
If more is raised than needed, the surplus goes to the Mérida Emergency Vet Clinic's charity fund for other animals.
Where the $650 goes:
• Emergency surgery: $410
• Hospitalization (3 nights): $155
• Diagnostics (X-ray, bloodwork): $85
