Emergency vet bill for Mango in Juiz de Fora
A rescue greyhound named Mango needs orthopedic surgery - a $1,000 bill the family can't cover.
🇧🇷 Juiz de Fora, Minas Gerais, Brazil769 views
Mango is my rescue greyhound of thirteen years. On 2 May we rushed to Juiz de Fora Animal Hospital with a tumor on the spleen. The vet recommends orthopedic surgery, and the estimate came to $1,000.
They have stabilized Mango, but the treatment can't wait beyond July.
Mango is more than a pet - Mango got me through my hardest year. I have already put $110 toward the bills and asked for a payment plan.
Whatever I can't raise, I'll repay to anyone who needs it back.
If more is raised than needed, the surplus goes to Juiz de Fora Animal Hospital's charity fund for other animals.
Where the $1,000 goes:
• Emergency surgery: $650
• Hospitalization (3 nights): $160
• Medication and follow-up visits: $75
• Diagnostics (X-ray, bloodwork): $115
Glad we found this place.
