Emergency vet bill for Luna in Sacramento
Luna, Robert's rescue greyhound, needs urgent treatment for bloat costing $1,000.

Luna is my rescue greyhound of six years. On 24 July we rushed to Sacramento Veterinary Centre with bloat. The vet recommends orthopedic surgery, and the estimate came to $1,000.
They have stabilized Luna, but the treatment can't wait beyond October.
Luna is more than a pet - Luna is a retired therapy animal who has comforted dozens of patients. I have already put $380 toward the bills and asked for a payment plan.
Whatever I can't raise, I'll repay to anyone who needs it back.
If more is raised than needed, the surplus goes to Sacramento Veterinary Centre's charity fund for other animals.
Where the $1,000 goes:
• Diagnostics (X-ray, bloodwork): $260
• Hospitalization (2 nights): $490
• Medication and follow-up visits: $250

We've got a rescue too so I know how much they mean. It's not much but it's yours.
Hope the recovery goes smoothly. I went through something like this 14 years ago and strangers helped me out.
