Emergency vet bill for Juno in Auckland
Juno, Michelle's tabby kitten, needs urgent treatment for a tumor on the spleen costing $2,150.

Juno is my tabby kitten of six years. On 3 March we rushed to Auckland Animal Hospital with a tumor on the spleen. The vet recommends orthopedic surgery, and the estimate came to $2,150.
They have stabilized Juno, but the treatment can't wait beyond May.
Juno is more than a pet - Juno is a retired therapy animal who has comforted dozens of patients. I have already put $140 toward the bills and asked for a payment plan.
Whatever I can't raise, I'll repay to anyone who needs it back.
If more is raised than needed, the surplus goes to Auckland Animal Hospital's charity fund for other animals.
Where the $2,150 goes:
• Emergency surgery: $1,450
• Hospitalization (2 nights): $330
• Medication and follow-up visits: $175
• Diagnostics (X-ray, bloodwork): $195
