Emergency vet bill for Hazel in Macon
Hazel, Arturo's tabby kitten, needs urgent treatment for pyometra costing $2,200.

Hazel is my tabby kitten of three years. On 7 September we rushed to the Macon Emergency Vet Clinic with pyometra. The vet recommends emergency surgery, and the estimate came to $2,200.
They have stabilized Hazel, but the treatment can't wait beyond November.
Hazel is more than a pet - Hazel is a retired therapy animal who has comforted dozens of patients. I have already put $230 toward the bills and asked for a payment plan.
Whatever I can't raise, I'll repay to anyone who needs it back.
Funds will be paid straight to the Macon Emergency Vet Clinic and I'll share the invoice and an update on Hazel's recovery.
Where the $2,200 goes:
• Emergency surgery: $1,100
• Hospitalization (4 nights): $720
• Medication and follow-up visits: $240
• Diagnostics (X-ray, bloodwork): $140
