Emergency vet bill for Ginger in Bogotá
A rescue greyhound named Ginger needs an operation to remove the blockage - a $500 bill the family can't cover.

Ginger is my rescue greyhound of three years. On 27 July we rushed to Bogotá Veterinary Centre with bloat. The vet recommends an operation to remove the blockage, and the estimate came to $500.
They have stabilized Ginger, but the treatment can't wait beyond October.
Ginger is more than a pet - Ginger got me through my hardest year. I have already put $35 toward the bills and asked for a payment plan.
Whatever I can't raise, I'll repay to anyone who needs it back.
Funds will be paid straight to Bogotá Veterinary Centre and I'll share the invoice and an update on Ginger's recovery.
Where the $500 goes:
• Diagnostics (X-ray, bloodwork): $40
• Medication and follow-up visits: $65
• Emergency surgery: $395
