Emergency vet bill for Ginger in Augusta
Ginger, Samantha's rescue greyhound, needs urgent treatment for a tumor on the spleen costing $2,300.

Ginger is my rescue greyhound of three years. On 21 February we rushed to Augusta Veterinary Centre with a tumor on the spleen. The vet recommends a hospital stay and surgery, and the estimate came to $2,300.
They have stabilized Ginger, but the treatment can't wait beyond May.
Ginger is more than a pet - Ginger got me through my hardest year. I have already put $370 toward the bills and asked for a payment plan.
Whatever I can't raise, I'll repay to anyone who needs it back.
If more is raised than needed, the surplus goes to Augusta Veterinary Centre's charity fund for other animals.
Where the $2,300 goes:
• Emergency surgery: $1,150
• Hospitalization (4 nights): $850
• Diagnostics (X-ray, bloodwork): $300

The list at the bottom is the whole picture. emergency surgery is the biggest at $1,150. Good question.
