Emergency vet bill for Coco in San Francisco
A rescue greyhound named Coco needs emergency surgery - a $2,600 bill the family can't cover.

Coco is my rescue greyhound of six years. On 9 September we rushed to San Francisco Veterinary Centre with a ruptured cruciate ligament. The vet recommends emergency surgery, and the estimate came to $2,600.
They have stabilized Coco, but the treatment can't wait beyond November.
Coco is more than a pet - Coco got me through my hardest year. I have already put $280 toward the bills and asked for a payment plan.
Whatever I can't raise, I'll repay to anyone who needs it back.
If more is raised than needed, the surplus goes to San Francisco Veterinary Centre's charity fund for other animals.
Where the $2,600 goes:
• Emergency surgery: $1,850
• Hospitalization (4 nights): $460
• Medication and follow-up visits: $130
• Diagnostics (X-ray, bloodwork): $160
