Emergency vet bill for Buddy in Iztapalapa

A German shepherd named Buddy needs a hospital stay and surgery - a $550 bill the family can't cover.

Buddy is my German shepherd of thirteen years. On 23 February we rushed to the Iztapalapa Emergency Vet Clinic with a tumor on the spleen. The vet recommends a hospital stay and surgery, and the estimate came to $550. They have stabilized Buddy, but the treatment can't wait beyond May. Buddy is more than a pet - Buddy is a retired therapy animal who has comforted dozens of patients. I have already put $95 toward the bills and asked for a payment plan. Whatever I can't raise, I'll repay to anyone who needs it back. If more is raised than needed, the surplus goes to the Iztapalapa Emergency Vet Clinic's charity fund for other animals. Where the $550 goes: • Emergency surgery: $310 • Hospitalization (3 nights): $95 • Medication and follow-up visits: $35 • Diagnostics (X-ray, bloodwork): $110 Ask me anything below before you decide. I'd rather you were sure. - Rocío

Best of luck, Rocío. Everyone deserves a bit of help sometimes. Wish I lived closer to Austin so I could bring a meal. Blessings.
