Buddy is my cat of two years. On 26 July we rushed to Brandon Animal Hospital with a foreign object blocking the intestines. The vet recommends orthopedic surgery, and the estimate came to $1,200. They have stabilized Buddy, but the treatment can't wait beyond October. Buddy is more than a pet - Buddy is the reason I get out of bed. I have already put $100 toward the bills and asked for a payment plan. Whatever I can't raise, I'll repay to anyone who needs it back. Funds will be paid straight to Brandon Animal Hospital and I'll share the invoice and an update on Buddy's recovery. Where the $1,200 goes: • Medication and follow-up visits: $270 • Diagnostics (X-ray, bloodwork): $270 • Emergency surgery: $660 Even a small gift gets used right away and I'll thank you myself. - Carmela

Updates from Carmela

  1. Small update. $409 so far, the first invoice got paid this week. - Carmela

  2. Good news. Because of your gifts ($340 in total) I made the first payment toward emergency surgery. Still a way to go but it feels less lonely. - Carmela

  3. 9% there. I made the first payment toward emergency surgery. Thank you.
