Emergency vet bill for Bruno in Dar es Salaam
Bruno, Anyango's German shepherd, needs urgent treatment for a broken leg after a road accident costing $300.

Bruno is my German shepherd of six years. On 7 May we rushed to Dar es Salaam Veterinary Centre with a broken leg after a road accident. The vet recommends emergency surgery, and the estimate came to $300.
They have stabilized Bruno, but the treatment can't wait beyond June.
Bruno is more than a pet - Bruno got me through my hardest year. I have already put $50 toward the bills and asked for a payment plan.
Whatever I can't raise, I'll repay to anyone who needs it back.
Funds will be paid straight to Dar es Salaam Veterinary Centre and I'll share the invoice and an update on Bruno's recovery.
Where the $300 goes:
• Emergency surgery: $135
• Hospitalization (2 nights): $95
• Medication and follow-up visits: $35
• Diagnostics (X-ray, bloodwork): $35
