Tatiana was diagnosed with a deviated septum causing chronic infections in August. The surgeon at Saint Mary Hospital recommended emergency hernia repair, and She is scheduled for November. The hospital's financial office gave us a written estimate of $3,100, and after what the public health scheme will pay we're still $1,850 short.
my wife has been in and out of Saint Mary Hospital since August. The doctors say a deviated septum causing chronic infections will get worse without emergency hernia repair. We have emptied our savings and borrowed from relatives, but the estimate of $3,100 is more than we can find.
While we wait, Tatiana struggles with daily life and can't look after the children alone. Her family has taken turns caring for her, and I've cut my own work hours to be there.
Recovery is expected to take about 10 weeks. During that time Tatiana won't be able to look after the children alone, so the costs keep growing.
