Grenoble
Marc was diagnosed with a benign brain tumor in June. The surgeon at Grenoble Regional Medical Center recommended emergency hernia repair, and He is scheduled for September. The hospital's financial office gave us a written estimate of $7,250, and after what my insurance will pay we're still $5,350 short. my husband has been in and out of Grenoble Regional Medical Center since June. The doctors say a benign brain tumor will get worse without emergency hernia repair. We have emptied our savings and borrowed from relatives, but the estimate of $7,250 is more than we can find. While we wait, Marc struggles with daily life and can't stand for more than ten minutes. His family has taken turns caring for him, and I've cut my own work hours to be there. Recovery is expected to take about 7 weeks. During that time Marc won't be able to stand for more than ten minutes, so the costs keep growing. The money goes straight to the treatment bills, and I'll share the invoices as they're paid so you can see exactly what your gift did. Where the $5,350 goes: • Surgeon and anesthesia fees: $2,950 • Physiotherapy sessions: $260 • Post-operative medication: $280 • Pre-operative tests and imaging: $260 • Hospital stay (2 nights): $1,600 Ask me anything below before you decide. I'd rather you were sure.
