Emergency hernia repair for Jéssica: covering what insurance won't
Jéssica needs emergency hernia repair at Saint Francis Hospital and the family is $2,600 short of the hospital's estimate.

Jéssica was diagnosed with a deviated septum causing chronic infections in March. The surgeon at Saint Francis Hospital recommended emergency hernia repair, and She is scheduled for June. The hospital's financial office gave us a written estimate of $5,250, and after what my insurance will pay we're still $2,600 short.
my daughter has been in and out of Saint Francis Hospital since March. The doctors say a deviated septum causing chronic infections will get worse without emergency hernia repair. We have emptied our savings and borrowed from relatives, but the estimate of $5,250 is more than we can find.
While we wait, Jéssica struggles with daily life and can't climb stairs. Her family has taken turns caring for her, and I've cut my own work hours to be there.
Recovery is expected to take about 5 weeks. During that time Jéssica won't be able to climb stairs, so the costs keep growing.
The money goes straight to the treatment bills, and I'll share the invoices as they're paid so you can see exactly what your gift did.
Where the $2,600 goes:
• Travel and lodging for the family: $120
• Post-operative medication: $80
• Surgeon and anesthesia fees: $1,250
• Pre-operative tests and imaging: $125
• Hospital stay (3 nights): $1,025
Whatever you can give, even just sharing this page, means a lot.

is there anything that isn't money that would help Jéssica?
Thank you. If you're in Campinas I'll say if something practical comes up. For now sharing this is great. Fair thing to want to know.
I hope things turn around soon. Thinking of Campinas
Hope things get better soon. Your post was clear and honest. Please keep us posted.
Hope it all works out. Shared this with my family. After 23 years in engineering I know how hard it's to ask for anything. Take care
Best of luck, Eliane. Look after yourselves too, caregivers need rest. Greetings from Rohini
I hope things turn around soon. I'm in logistics myself and wanted you to know we're cheering for you.
