Hadley was diagnosed with a cleft palate needing repair in January. The surgeon at Wollongong General Hospital recommended emergency hernia repair, and She is scheduled for March. The hospital's financial office gave us a written estimate of $3,150, and after what the government subsidy will pay we're still $1,900 short. my daughter has been in and out of Wollongong General Hospital since January. The doctors say a cleft palate needing repair will get worse without emergency hernia repair. We have emptied our savings and borrowed from relatives, but the estimate of $3,150 is more than we can find. While we wait, Hadley struggles with daily life and can't look after the children alone. Her family has taken turns caring for her, and I've cut my own work hours to be there. Rehabilitation is expected to take about 7 weeks. During that time Hadley won't be able to look after the children alone, so the costs keep growing. The money goes straight to the treatment bills, and I'll share the invoices as they're paid so you can see exactly what your gift did. Where the $1,900 goes: • Travel and lodging for the family: $290 • Pre-operative tests and imaging: $420 • Physiotherapy sessions: $920 • Post-operative medication: $270 Thank you for reading my story. - Peyton
