Emeka needs a specialist standing frame - help us make it happen
A specialist standing frame would give Emeka independence - we're $400 away.

I live with low vision from retinitis pigmentosa. My occupational therapist at Wudil General Hospital has assessed me and recommended a specialist standing frame. The public scheme doesn't cover it, and the quote from the supplier is $400.
My current equipment is 15 years old and keeps breaking, which has confined me to home for 7 weeks.
With the right equipment I could go to school independently. It would change my everyday life and my ability to work from home.
We've applied to two charities already and received small contributions; this campaign covers the rest.
I'll pay the supplier directly from the funds, and I'll post a photo once the equipment is delivered.
Where the $400 goes:
• Fitting and training sessions: $45
• specialist standing frame: $330
• First-year servicing plan: $25
Thanks for being kind about this.

Sending good thoughts, Emeka. Your post was clear and honest. All the best.
How is Emeka doing now?
Best of luck, Emeka. Shared it with a few friends. My sister had a similar thing happen so this one hit home!
So sorry you're going through this. Reading this made my day a bit heavier but I'm glad I did. The breakdown of costs made it easy to trust. Blessings.
Stay strong, Emeka. I hope things turn around soon.
wishing you peace, Emeka. Reading this made my day a bit heavier but I'm glad I did. My late mom used to say help given quietly counts double.
