In January I was diagnosed with a thyroid nodule that needs removal. My surgeon at Hamilton Orthopedic Institute recommended laparoscopic endometriosis surgery, and I have been placed on the schedule for March. The hospital's financial office gave me a written estimate of $7,000, and after what my insurance will pay, I'm still $5,600 short. Doctors at Hamilton Orthopedic Institute told me a thyroid nodule that needs removal will get worse without laparoscopic endometriosis surgery. I work as a farm laborer, and I have saved what I can, but the estimate of $7,000 is far beyond what I've.
