Electricity shut-off notice: help Zhi pay $750
A disconnection notice for electricity arrived and Zhi needs $750 before October.

The electricity account is 4 months behind. I received a disconnection notice that says service will be cut off on October unless I pay $750. I have never been late before a reduction in hours.
I called the provider and asked about a payment plan, but they need a down payment of $190 first, which I don't have.
I live with a disabled brother, and going through winter without electricity isn't safe. The children would have no light to study by.
I'm working on getting back on my feet, and will pay forward whatever help I can once I'm steady.
The money will go directly to the utility provider, and I'll post the paid statement here.
Where the $750 goes:
• Electricity arrears: $480
• Reconnection and late fees: $145
• Down payment on a payment plan: $125
Ask me anything below before you decide. I'd rather you were sure.
- due date
- 2026-10-18
- bill type
- Utility arrears

Good news. Because of your gifts ($110 in total) the plan for down payment on a payment plan is now scheduled. Still a way to go but it feels less lonely.
