Electricity shut-off notice: help Tyler pay $500

The electricity account is 3 months behind. I received a disconnection notice that says service will be cut off on November unless I pay $500. I have never been late before losing my job in July. I called the provider and asked about a payment plan, but they need a down payment of $155 first, which I don't have. I live with a parent on oxygen therapy, and going through summer without electricity isn't safe. We would also lose the ability to run the medical equipment at home.
