Electricity shut-off notice: help Tariq pay $300
Help Tariq cover an overdue electricity bill so the household stays safe this summer.
🇸🇦 Saudi Arabia166 views
The electricity account is 3 months behind. Tariq received a disconnection notice that says service will be cut off on August unless $300 is paid. He had never been late before June's medical emergency.
Tariq called the provider and asked about a payment plan, but they need a down payment of $105 first, which isn't available.
The household includes a disabled brother, and going through summer without electricity isn't safe. We would also lose the ability to run the medical equipment at home.
Tariq is working on getting back on his feet, and wants to pay it forward once steady.
The money will go directly to the utility provider, and I'll post the paid statement here.
Where the $300 goes:
• Water arrears: $130
• Reconnection and late fees: $40
• Down payment on a payment plan: $130
With deep gratitude,
Bilal

Sending good thoughts, Bilal. Reading this made my day a bit heavier but I'm glad I did. Read this on the bus and kept thinking about it all day. Thinking of Dammam.
Hope it all works out, Bilal. Everyone deserves a bit of help sometimes. God bless
Wishing you peace, Bilal. Gave what I could, wish it was more. After 14 years in customer support I know how hard it's to ask for anything. All the best
keep going, Bilal. I've been in a tough spot myself and it does get easier.
You're not alone, Bilal. Hope you get there. Blessings
