Electricity shut-off notice: help Sarah pay $100
Sarah is behind on electricity bills after a reduction in hours and needs $100 to avoid a shut-off.

The electricity account is 2 months behind. I received a disconnection notice that says service will be cut off on November unless I pay $100. I have never been late before a reduction in hours.
I called the provider and asked about a payment plan, but they need a down payment of $20 first, which I don't have.
I live with an elderly mother, and going through the cold months without electricity isn't safe. The children would have no light to study by.
I'm working on getting back on my feet, and will pay forward whatever help I can once I'm steady.
The money will go directly to the utility provider, and I'll post the paid statement here.
Where the $100 goes:
• Gas arrears: $80
• Reconnection and late fees: $15
• Down payment on a payment plan: $5
Every share and every dollar helps.

You're not alone. Your post was clear and honest. Wish I lived closer to Berlin so I could bring a meal.
Thinking of you and your family, Sarah. I hope your landlord gives you a bit more time while this comes together. Put this on a community board in Sapporo this morning. Blessings.

Hope things get better soon. Your post was clear and honest. We had a similar scare last year, I know what it feels like. All the best
hope it all works out, Sarah. I've been in a tough spot myself and it does get easier. My husband and I read this together. Take care
Stay strong. It takes guts to ask. Well done. I have a 9 year old who wants to send good wishes too. God bless.
